Head driver and events porter / warehouse

Job Summary:
To manage all of the Back of House operations of Cooks & Partners effectively, responsibly and profitably
Main Duties
Transportation
- Produce or follow the weekly delivery schedule and ensure that all deliveries and collections are made on time
- Ensure that all refrigeration temperature sheets are complete and filed
- All vehicles to be kept to a high standard of cleanliness in line with the cleaning schedule
- Any other relevant paper work is maintained
- Carry out weekly vehicles checks
- Carry out general maintenance on all vehicles
Warehouse
- Manage the warehouse in a effective, responsible and profitable manner
- Pull and count hire out and complete paper work in good time before events
- Count hire back into stock promptly following events
- Accurately manage drink stocks in and out
- Carry out general maintenance of equipment
- Check all electrical equipment that is returned from events to ensure safety and good working order
- To carry cleaning in line with warehouse cleaning schedule
Events
- To set up and break down on events, ensuring that venues are left in good condition and good relationships are maintained with venue contacts, Oversee and manage porters on events.
Staff
- Manage temporary drivers and porters
- Manage all back of house staff on events
- Allocate duties to temporary staff and make sure they carry these out to your satisfaction
Purchasing / Suppliers
- Ordering of beverages, cleaning and disposables as required from the nominated Cooks & Partners suppliers and where possible negotiate keen prices
- Shopping where and when required
Equipment
- Ensure that all hire equipment is maintained and in good working order
- Ensure staff are trained and updated in the use of any machinery
- Check that all machinery is being used correctly
- Put forward suggestions to senior management regarding new equipment
- Ensure monthly checks on all electric wires are carried out in accordance with Company guidelines
Health & Safety
- Ensure that the correct training is given to all staff using machinery and that correct safe working practices are used to the standards set out in the Health & Safety at work act
- Ensure that the correct records are kept with COSHH standard
Health & Hygiene
- Ensure that the highest standards of hygiene are maintained in your area of responsibility and that the Cooks & Partners Hygiene document is rigorously followed
Meetings
- Weekly meeting with Managers to plan following week's work if needed
General
- Maintain all laundry on a daily basis
- Maintain external laundry on a weekly basis
- Oversee and carry out general maintenance if required at any C&P site in line with legislation, health and safety and company policies
- Any other reasonable duties as requested by the Director
Person Specification
Driver and warehouse manager
Salary:
£28,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:
- London: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
- Driving: 3 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
