Hydro Group manufactures bespoke subsea cable and connector assembly engineering for the oil and gas, marine renewable energy and defence industries.

Objectives / Scope

  • Outline the actions necessary to accomplish strategic goals.
  • Establish performance measures to track progress against actions and plan versus actual.
  • Help identify organisational priorities and capabilities.
  • Establish task, performance expectations, schedules, milestones, and resource needs.
  • Focus on interdepartmental KPI's to organise resources against performance targets.
  • Ensure the smooth and costefficient flow of production operations.

Main Responsibilities

  • Coordinating production workflow for one or multiple products.
  • Planning and prioritising operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay.
  • Assign workers and other staff to particular production operations.
  • Schedule shift / overtime working according to production needs.
  • Monitor jobs to ensure they will finish on time and within budget.
  • Address issues when they arise aiming for minimum disruption.
  • Obtain output information (number of finished products, percentage of defectives etc.).
  • Prepare and submit status and performance reports.
  • Keep paperwork organised.
  • Collaborate with quality control, warehouse and other staff determining manpower, equipment and raw materials needed to cover production demand.
  • Maintain the 13week forecast and provide updates to the waterfall report.
  • ERP KPI's.
  • Assist in change requests on a project as needed.
  • Develop manufacturing concepts and strategies to support business objectives.
  • Coordinate material delivery with inventory to support manufacturing schedule.
  • Monitor the cost, schedule and performance factors of internal suppliers.
  • Ensure purchase transactions and stock bookings are carried out in a timely manner.
  • Prepare scopes of work, preproduction.
  • Monitor inventory, supply, and demand.
  • Data gather and analysis in support of strategic projects.
  • Develop, gain alignment and implement project plans.
  • Lead in developing project scope, planning, and services and during the contract process.
  • Participate in projects with teammates, and occasionally with clients and stakeholders.
  • Respond to enquiries, maintain records, attend meetings, and other duties as needed.
  • Input key data into ERP as part of configuration implementation.
  • Assist with customer issues and order problems and help create effective solutions for the customers by responding to feedback and complaints and through the development of new systems and methods that will prevent further occurrences.
