Junior Production Engineer

Permanent

Full-Time (Monday to Friday 8.30am - 5.00pm with a one hour unpaid lunch break)

Salary - Negotiable Depending on experience

Swindon


We are assisting our client, a Swindon based manufacturer, in recruiting a Junior Production Engineer to join their team on permanent basis.


The business is split into two areas; the resale of connectors and cable assemblies and the manufacturing of cable assemblies, wiring panels, enclosures and cabinets.


The role:


  • Support the production and manufacturing facility on a day to day basis
  • Create production assembly documentation to 2D CAD drawings and produce process procedures
  • Control of production assembly documentation, engineering change management, control of tooling, first article approval
  • Resolving production issues in process, at final inspection or following customer returns, 8D investigation
  • Supporting and communicating with customers to fully understand their requirements

Requirements:


  • Qualification or Part Qualification in an Engineering disciplinary would be an advantage
  • Proficient in MS office skills
  • 2D CAD
  • Knowledge of wiring and cable preparation would be an advantage
  • Understanding of Bill of Materials and how they are used
  • Ability to read schematics
