We have an exciting opportunity at our City Centre Campus to join our Creative Industries Department as a Department Team
Leader (Music) on a permanent, full time (35 hours per week) basis.**As a member of the College Management Team and one of a team of Departmental Team Leaders within your area, you will report to the Head of Department Curriculum in the management and operation of the Department. You will be required to deliver and promote high quality, student focused teaching and learning. You will be required to co-ordinate and monitor internal and external standards. You will be responsible for line management of teaching and support staff as allocated by the Head of Department to ensure delivery of an outstanding quality focused education. You will work with the Head of Department for Curriculum, Tutorial & Support and Essential Skills to ensure the effective management and deployment of resources is in line with budget allocations. Your role will include the collection, analysis and reporting of data.


To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Recognised teaching qualification
  • Qualified to deliver curriculum, internally verify and moderate qualifications and awards
  • Numeracy and literacy skills (to level 2 or equivalent) Desirable
  • Degree Level Qualification or relevant industrial experience or professional qualification
  • Experience in leading and managing a team and curriculum area desirable
  • Knowledge of UAL and Pearson specifications desirable
  • Professional industry experience essential
