Steel Erectors required on a project in the North Ayrshire Area...

Some of the duties you will have include:

  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout and requirements for steel installation.
  • Assemble and install structural steel components, such as beams, columns, and braces, using appropriate tools and equipment.
  • Align and position steel components accurately, ensuring proper fit and levelness.
  • Bolt or weld steel components together securely, following industry standards and safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with other team members, including crane operators and riggers, to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  • Always adhere to safety guidelines and regulations, promoting a safe work environment.
  • Inspect and assess steel components for defects or damage, reporting any issues to the supervisor.
  • Maintain and organise tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.
  • Follow project schedules and deadlines, completing tasks in a timely manner.

Must hold a valid CSCS / ACE:

Trade qualification
  • Time served L2/L3 NVQ or equivalent

  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
Desirable

  • Previous experience of working outages / shutdowns within the EFW and CCGT power industries is preferred.
  • 3 years' experience in a similar role & industry experience preferred.
Lodge Allowance available
Uplifts on Weekends
10-12 hour days


Job Types:

£22.00 per hour
