Broughton After School Club is a small business in Edinburgh, EH7 4LD.
We are professional, and our goal is to is to provide a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment where children can explore, learn, and grow outside of school hours.
Through engaging child-centered around outdoor learning, creative arts and crafts, sport activities, science, drama, storytelling, among others. We aim to foster a love for learning, creativity, and nature in each child.By promoting holistic development and instilling values of teamwork, respect, and responsibility, we strive to empower children to become confident, compassionate, and socially conscious individuals.
Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Play Worker to join our team.
As a Play Worker, you will be responsible for providing a safe and engaging environment for children to learn, play, and develop important skills.
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young children.Timetable:
Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays: 14:30-18:00
Tuesdays: 13:00- 18:00
Fridays: 11:30-18:00
Duties:
- Plan and organise ageappropriate activities and play sessions for children
- Supervise and ensure the safety of children at all times
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment where children can learn and grow
- Encourage social interaction, cooperation, and teamwork among children
- Provide support and assistance to children with their daily needs
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of play areas and equipment
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding their child's progress
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in childcare (this expirience could have been gained in various settings, including nurseries, afterschool clubs or through voluntary roles)
- Fluent in English.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise responsibilities effectively
- Strong leadership skills to guide and supervise children
- Passion for working with children and helping them reach their full potential
Job Types:

Pay:
£14.55-£15.05 per hour
Expected hours: 22 per week
