RSM's People Advisory Services help organisations enact their people and talent strategies as well as manage their people challenges using a multi-disciplinary approach in the UK and globally.

People and Pay (PAP) is the HR and payroll division, delivering cutting-edge and premium payroll software and solutions to an exceptional range of clients.

These span from small entrepreneurial enterprises to large corporations, inclusive of top-name brands across industries such as retail, manufacturing, financial services and the public sector to name but a few.


About the role


As a Pay & Bill Executive, you will deliver a high quality and accurate payroll and invoicing service to our clients based within the recruitment sector.

You will provide a professional and efficient assistant to all clients in respect to the services we provide, dealing with queries and managing third party relationships, with a focus on excellent customer service.


Continuingly adapting to changing landscapes and with a brilliant infrastructure of specialists, training and technology, you will be at the forefront of outsourced payroll.

The variety of work will challenge you every day, helping you expand your capabilities and grow professionally This role offers a hybrid working pattern.


  • Raising sales invoices and credit notes, uploading to factor accounts and delivering to customers.
  • Checking inputted data and making all relevant corrections before completion for review.
  • Issuing all payslips and selfbill remittances electronically.
  • Organising and prioritising workload in order to efficiently deal with all clients within agreed timescales.
  • Handling a cross section of client workloads.
  • Dealing with incoming client / customer / temporary worker communications (verbal/written) and understanding the nature of the inquiry in order to resolve it or pass it to the correct individual / department.
  • Supporting and sharing knowledge with colleagues to contribute to the effectiveness of the team. This may include providing cover for other team members as and when necessary.
  • Managing all aspects of Tax Year end processing for your allocated clients.
The ideal applicant will have working knowledge of end-to-end payroll processing.

This will include a reasonable understanding of statutory and legislative regulations, including workplace pensions, and proven experience in MS Office, in particular Excel.

You will have experience of month-end and year-end returns and balancing, ideally with the ability to perform manual calculations (but this is not essential).

Working in a multi-frequency payroll environment is advantageous.
