PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:


The role is for a skilled, focused and highly motivated Mechanical Installer working within the Installations Department working within a small team to undertake installation activities of projects throughout the UK and Europe.

Due to the location of some sites there will be regular travel and staying away from home required.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


Reporting to your Supervisor/Coordinator and the Head of Department, as a mechanical installer you will bring demonstrable installation experience and practical skills to the team.


Working closely with members of the Installation Department, Project team and in some cases the wider business you will ensure that all installation activities are executed to meet the project requirements in a safe and cost-effective manner.


On the job training will be provided and where applicable a personal development plan will be detailed and reviewed periodically.


You work within a small team to complete installation activities, within the agreed constraints of time, quality and cost, whilst maintaining the relationships with the client's operational staff and an excellent Health, Safety and Environmental performance.

You will ensure customer satisfaction and quality is achieved at all times.


Any other tasks as required from time to time by the company in conjunction with the day to day running of the business.


MINIMUM EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR THE ROLE:

  • CSCS Card
  • Be able to work on your own, or as part of a team.
  • Consistent efficient and high quality output.
  • Other desirable criteria;_
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Confined Space.
  • CPCS slinger signaller.
  • PASMA/IPAF.
  • First Aid at Work
  • An industry applicable ONC, C&G or NVQ with basic electrical installation knowledge.
  • Knowledge of utilities/water industry, pipework and access steelwork installations.
  • Competent in understanding/reading engineering drawings.
  • Experience with pipework and access steelwork installations.
Usual working hours are 8.00 to 16.30 Monday to Friday. The position will require travel nationally and working away from home as required to complete installation activities. Further details will be provided during the interview.

Enhanced hourly rates applicable when working on-site and is dependent on experience and qualifications.
