We are currently recruiting for a Fire Safety Officer in Bury.

Pay rate:
£19 - £19.81 per hour.

Contract duration:
Temporary ongoing.

Purpose:

The FM Team covers all aspects of the building lifecycle undertaking projects from planned maintenance, statutory compliance, and energy management through to refurbishment and extensions across housing, schools, public estate buildings and offices.

Our capability builds on over five decades of experience with extensive regulatory and legislative knowledge making sure that projects and the management of facilities are delivered safely, within programme, and satisfy our client's specifications and service expectations.

Duties:

Create and implement a schedule of fire safety management strategies across all buildings including markets, leisure centres, residential accommodations.
Be responsible for the proactive implementation and oversight of all fire measures across all of the client's buildings.
Create new and update existing Fire Risk Assessments.
Prepare and deliver appropriate training to Designated Responsible Persons in all aspects of fire safety.
Ensure the appropriate standards for fire precautions are met and comply with all relevant legislation, regulations, and Codes of Practice.

Knowledge & Experience:

Essential:

Working and undertaking FRAs in a variety of workplaces, including for "Life Risk" sleeping accommodation establishments.
Ability to maintain a quality information system, and experience of investigating incidents, including fires and of advising on appropriate fire safety precautions and fire risk control measures.
Presenting and training to a wide range of audiences.
Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to write reports and liaise effectively with colleagues, representatives from enforcement agencies and external contacts in a professional manner and contribute as a member of a team whilst using own initiative as required.
Proactive approach to fire safety and the development of a fire safety culture.
Able to take ownership of, organise and prioritise tasks and workload from initial stage to completion to meet deadlines.

£19.00-£19.81 per hour

Licence/Certification:
- approved qualification in Advanced Fire Risk Assessment. (required)
