About the Role


The Post-Sale Coordinator will report to the Post-Sale Service Manager to assist with the delivery of the most efficient and enhanced after sales experience for Bonhams clients.

The Post-Sale Coordinator will also support the Luxury departments at both Knightsbridge and New Bond Street where they will help manage relevant paperwork and documents for import and export, working to ensure Bonhams are operating in an organised and compliant manner in relation to all areas of shipping.


They will support the Post-Sale Manager in working closely with and communicating effectively & efficiently between specialist departments, client services, credit control, and other supporting departments.

They will provide advice and support to clients and internal teams where required, as well as being a liaison between clients, departments, and our third-party shipping partners.


The Post-Sale Coordinator will play an integral role in delivering the highest level of service to our clients after the hammer has fallen and support the Post-Sale Manager in improving client retention and acting as a liaison between clients, departments and external stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities

In your role as Post-Sale Administrator, you will:

  • Provide Luxury client quotes pre or post sales shipping, alongside co-ordination with any 3rd party shippers
  • Support the Post-Sale Manager in creation and distribution of postsale reports to specialist departments and postsale comms with firsttime buyers and clients flagged by specialist departments
  • Manage the Packengers shipping calendar ensuring sales are correctly uploaded to Bonhams website
  • Assist Post-Sale Manager in observing relationships with thirdparty shippers and improving client experience and delivery times
  • Manage 'ready for collection' and property releases in timely manner to ensure client delivery is prompt
  • Be proactive and responsive in resolving any client shipping issues and be first point of escalation, working with external shippers to maintain client satisfaction
  • Partner with credit control on creation of consolidated buyer invoices with shipping charges for Jewellery clients
  • Work with Credit Control to ensure any taxfree shipments have the appropriate proof of export from shippers
  • Provide source of export information and advice to the clients, Specialists and Regional teams
  • Obtain copies, track and manage export entries for Bonhams ensuring a clear paper trail is maintained via 3rd party shippers
  • Work with the Shipping Department to obtain export licences and CITES permits for exports when required
  • Ensure primary shipper invoices are processed, charged and settled in an accurate and timely fashion

  • A logical thinker and problem solver with the ability to seek continuous improvement
  • Ability to build strong relationships internally and externally
  • Excellent verbal and written presentation skills
  • Experience of managing the shipment and movement of luxury goods crossborders
  • A demonstrable track record of effectively managing 3rd party shippers
  • French or Mandarin language fluency an advantage
