Press Brake Operator/Setter

Procter Machine Safety are an industry leading well established UK company providing a comprehensive range of high quality safety compliant machine guarding and safety solutions across all sectors of industry.

Due to continued growth we require and experience Press Brake Operator/Setter to join our expanding sheet metal department.

Daily duties

Setup, adjust and prepare press brake for operation
Read and follow detailed engineering drawings and schematics
Bending and shaping mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium etc. to customer specific requirements
Carrying out tool changes between jobs
Measuring and checking dimensions
Produce quality parts in a timely fashion
Inspecting work for quality
Compliance with health & safety and relevant certification
Communicate effectively all issues affecting smooth daily operation

Skills, experience and attributes

At least 3 years' experience of press brake operation
The ability to understand, interpret and work from drawings
Able to work off your own initiative, as well as part of a team
Attention to detail to ensure high quality output
An efficient approach to your work to ensure production deadlines are met
Understanding of accreditation and certification standards.
Effective clear communicator
Flexibility to undertake other tasks as required

Salary:
£11.50-£15.50 per hour

Expected hours: 39 per week
