Working hours - Monday to Friday 08:30am - 17:00pm.

Overview:

I am working with a client who is looking for a Production Manager to join a well-established Design and Manufacturing company based in Chorley, Lancashire, that specialise in supplying electronic devices, telematics, vehicle security and LED technology tothe Automotive Industry.

The successful Production manager will be in charge of the production and quality teams, and will have experience in PCB assembly and SMT, this is a great opportuntity to join a growing company as a Production Manager.


Production Manager Position Overview:


  • Understand 5S, SMED, 6 Sigma, OEE and ERP Systems, together with problem solving tools such as 8D, 5 Why, root cause analysis and standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure continuous Improvement, process change and successful implementation.
  • Make certain the production team is highly motivated, achieving output targets and set KPIs
  • Have an ability to coach, train and educate staff in modern manufacturing techniques, be able to develop a highperformance culture focussed on quality.
  • Be dynamic, data driven, numerate with a strong understanding of capacity planning and production scheduling.
  • Have excellent communication skills, verbal, written and presentation, be able to motivate, create understanding and engagement.
  • Drive the testing and quality procedures and processes, ensuring they are reviewed, revised and maintained.

Production Manager Position Requirements:


  • Previous experience within a Production Manager role or similar
  • Experience working within Electronics, Electronic device manufacture or General Engineering.
  • Strong problemsolving skills
  • Great interpersonal skills to motivate and effectively lead a team
  • A degree or above in engineering or equivalent
  • Proficient in Microsoft office and production planning, bar coding and MRP systems
  • Must live within a commutable distance to Chorley
  • Full clean Driving license
