Site Manager for our client based in
Eversley.

Job desciption:

A Site Manager is required for the head office site based in Eversley.

The role's purpose is to manage all activities on allocated waste sites, ensuring the safe and optimal operation of all plant, equipment and people.


Manage the team under his/her control in terms of efficiency, profits, safety and service for the business in line with company policy and procedures.

To deliver excellent service to both internal and external customers.

Ensure appropriate reports and inspections are completed accurately and produced for line management, for example daily site inspections.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Liaising and communicating with various internal departments to arrange material movements and transfer.
  • Manage and contribute in the developments and improvements being made to the operation.
  • Completing daily site inspections for his/her sites, identifying areas of noncompliance or improvement within the site diary and EQMS, particularly regarding: Environmental Permits & Quality, Health, Safety or Environmental
  • Monitoring bin container stocks and record keeping
  • Completing risk assessment and dynamic risk assessment for all activities on site
  • Ensuring all plant and equipment is in good working order and maintained correctly, ensuring all daily and weekly operator inspections are completed, and defects reported.
  • Manage and motivate your team and communicate clear expectations ensuring capability and understanding of company requirements
  • Complete any data needed to be returned to the Environment Agency on a monthly basis, also ensuring all Compliance Assessment Reports are monitored and actioned, in conjunction with the Area GM.
  • Liaising and communicating with the Environment Agency on a regular basis to maintain compliance with the site Environmental Permit in conjunction with the Area GM
  • Complete monthly waste return information for the Environment Agency
  • Manage the labour workforce on the sites as effectively as possible

Must haves:


  • Sound knowledge of waste operations is essential, 5 years + experience in a similar role
  • Understands his/her way around an environmental permit
  • Waste management transport knowledge
  • Essential for relevant WAMITAB
  • Good interpersonal skills, numerate and ability to deal with people of different skills and abilities
  • Be an excellent team player, with the ability to work under pressure in a demanding commercial environment
  • Knowledge of bulk haulage, low loader operations is an advantage

  • Full UK Driving Licence
