Materials Handler
(Norwich - Full Time - Fixed Term until December 2023)
- We are looking to recruit a Materials Handler at our Crown Point Depot, Norwich, reporting to the Stores Supervisor until _
- December 2023. This position will involve providing complete materials handling services, including tooling, up to the point of use and inline with business KPIs._
Your duties will include:
Main Goals:
Working within our warehouse, moving, handling and storing different materials. To track the stock within the warehouse, record orders, and store the merchandise.
Organisational:
- Verifying the accuracy of quantity and quality of incoming deliveries
- Labeling every product and placing them accordingly
- Identifying and locating the right products during the delivery process
- Keeping a wellmaintained and updated account of stock and inventory
- Handling returns by completing technical documentation and other required communication
- Keeping all material handling equipment in the best condition by conducting regular maintenance
- Conveying purchasing requirements and keeping data on the availability of products in short supply
- Collaborating with internal departments to locate missing packages, fix incorrect deliveries and replace damaged products
What do we require of you?
Essential:
- Certification in forklift operation
- Knowledge of operating other warehouse machinery
- Data entry, maths and computer skills
- Physically fit with the ability to lift objects weighing between pounds
- Effective leadership and team management skills
- Attention to detail and problemsolving skills
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Written and verbal communication skills
Work Schedule:
- Monday
- Friday, with the possibility of working weekends
- Shift work, occasionally working nights/evenings
- 35 hours per week equivalent
Job Types:
Full-time, Fixed term contract
Salary:
£25,534.00-£28,372.00 per year
