gap personnel Bristol are acting as an employment business and currently looking for 2x Line leaders to join our client in Avonmouth immediately The company we are working in partnership with is growing and heading a busy period and are looking to expand their team.

Our client is the largest co-packer in the UK, working with some of the best-known food brands to provide cost-effective and innovative co-packing, co-filling and co-manufacturing solutions.

Please note that this will be based in a temperature-controlled environment (between 2-5 degrees).


Responsibilities:


  • Ensuring that the Production Line under their charge maximises the utilisation of time, labour and equipment.
  • Reporting and communicating all issues affecting Production effectively.
  • Ensuring that all finished products and donor stocks maintain their traceability at all times and in accordance with the Culina / IPS Production and Quality Procedures.
  • Effectively motivating a team of people to meet production targets.
  • Ensuring the final product meets client specifications (SPI).
  • Effectively maximising production efficiency, to ensure plans are met on a hourly/daily basis.
  • Adhering to and promoting best practice in accordance with company health, safety and quality regulations.
  • Ensuring all paperwork and systems are completed and accurate in accordance with company procedures.
  • Effectively using the integrated management systems (HUB & Vision).
  • Ensuring all areas comply with hygienic audits, both internal and external.
  • Ensuring GMP (good manufacturing practices) and housekeeping (clean as you go) are strictly adhered to.
  • Assisting in developing a skills matrix for all production workers.
  • Assisting in training and development of new starters.
  • Acting as a role model for best practice.
  • Monitoring, controlling and minimising waste.
  • Playing an active part in continuous improvement.
  • Diagnosing and conveying Machinery Faults.
  • Covering a variety of shifts to meet customer demand.
  • Attending Line leader meetings and relevant training courses, as and when required.
  • Undertaking other duties as required from time to time, that reasonably fall within the scope and grade of the post.
