Brighton Hill School is looking to appoint a, highly skilled, motivated and qualified SENDCo.

This
new appointment will work in collaboration with our Lead SENDCo who will be on Maternity from July '23.

This investment in our strategic vision for SEND is part of our innovative approach to providing high quality provision for all of our students.

Brighton Hill Community School has been rated as 'Good' with Outstanding in three of the four Ofsted categories. We are a rapidly growing coeducational 11-16 Community School with 1250 students.

You would join the schools newly expanded SEN faculty which comprises of an extremely talented team and to support individualised and targeted intervention programmes, develop the strategic work of our Specialist support and Faculty support staff and engage, inspire and challenge all of young students to ensure an inclusive educational experience.

What skills and experience we are looking for

  • Must have qualified teacher status.
  • Hold the National Award for SENCO qualification.
  • Be committed to providing the highest standards of provision for students with SEND
  • Be an aspirational practitioner with high expectations and commitment to raising standards.
  • Be able to demonstrate effective communication skills with all stakeholders.
  • Be highly organised, patient and resilient.
  • Experience of using data and data analysis to drive up standards.
  • Clear knowledge and experience in all issues arising relating to the safeguarding of children.
