Job Introduction
An exciting opportunity to join the Business Executive Support Team.

The Business Executive Support Team is a central business admin support function which is aligned to meet the requirements of Staffordshire County Council, and which fulfils the needs of the organisations as it evolves.

This role will primarily be supporting school admissions and children missing in education. We are currently working Hybrid with a mix of home and office working.

Interviews to take place Week beginning 14th August

Main Responsibilities


You'll:

  • Implement and determine the entitlement of pupils and students to hometoschool transport.
  • Process Children Missing Education referrals.
  • Deal with more complex cases and disputes, telephone and written enquiries arising from parents and schools, and to offer appropriate advice, guidance and alternative options.
  • Provide a point of contact for parents, schools and other agencies with regard to school admissions, school transport entitlement and children missing education to ensure that enquiries are dealt with efficiently and effectively.
  • Ability to perform effectively in a busy and demanding environment, to statutory deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • The ability to work as part of a team but also using their own initiative.
  • Knowledge and understanding of School Admissions, School Transport and Children Missing Education policies and relevant legislation.
  • Effective interpersonal skills with ability to build good relations and communicate clearly and confidently with a wide range of colleagues, individuals and organisations.
