Your apprentice role
We have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic, engaged self-starter who is focused on a career in an all-rounded role that will see you gain exposure to sales, customer service, operations, logistics and commercial tasks day to day.
We are looking for a positive individual with the right work ethic for our business; the willingness to help others, work well with others, and wants to learn valuable sales and operations skills - starting with the basics.
Your development journey will start by gaining knowledge of our business, our capabilities, and our purpose. You will then be supported to manage operational administration and handling customer queries, purchases, and complaints.We will support you to complete your Diploma in Customer Service.
Depending on your experience, you have the option of two Pathways:
Pathway 1:
Entry level (no previous experience)
Year 1:
Level 2 Diploma in Customer Service
Year 2:
Level 3 Diploma in Customer Service
Pathway 2:
Previous experience (2+ years in customer service / administrative role)
Year 1:
Level 3 Diploma in Customer Service

Your Apprentice role will ultimately lead to you becoming an expert in the products and services we offer at out Dunmurry site.
With successful completion of your apprenticeship qualification you will have the required knowledge, skills and behaviours to become the 'Sales and Operational Support' within our thyssenkrupp Materials Dunmurry team.
Your main duties:
- Support the full delivery of our sales cycle from quote to customer delivery
- General support to Sales and Operations teams
- Collaborate with internal Sales, Operations, Quality and Logistic teams ensuring correct processes are managed and maintained
- General operations and administrative tasks
- Customer facing tasks
- Continuous improvement problem solving and solution orientated approach
Your working hours:
Weekly: 37 hours
Mon to Thurs: 9:00-5:00pm (half an hour lunch break)
Fridays: 8:00-3:30pm (half an hour lunch break)
Your profile:
- Essential experience, skills, and knowledge:
- Self-motivated, reliant, diligent, analytical and numerate
- Flexible to learn different departmental duties and new skills
- High attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Interested in the materials and engineering industry
- Quick learner
