Description

About us:

Devoted Home Care was founded in February 2021 by Sophie Shepherd.

Sophie had been a care worker for a number of years both in the community and in care homes, in Australia and in the UK.

Sophie wanted to make a change in the way care is done and that's why she decided to open her own company - Devoted Homecare.

Sophie is passionate about helping our clients remain at home and independant for as long as possible.

Since opening, Devoted Homecare now employs a small team of 30 community care workers and office staff. We cover the Ashford, Romney Marsh and Folkestone areas and currently care for around 45 clients.

What we are looking for:

We are looking to recruit hardworking, dedicated and motivated individuals to join us at Devoted Homecare as community care workers so we can help more people remain independent in their own homes.

Previous care experience is not always necessary as we provide full training and will ensure you are paired with an experienced care worker until you feel competent and ready to work alone.

After a successful probationary period of 3 months we will offer you the opportunity to complete NVQ's in health and social care.

We are currently looking for community care workers who drive.

We are looking for carers who can work some of the following shifts in the Romney Marsh area:

We have all weekdays available, however all our care workers must be available to work alternate weeks.

What our carers do:

Our fantastic team of community care workers are required to carry out personal care tasks, such as washing and bathing customers, emptying commodes, changing pads and cleaning teeth.

Our community care workers also assist with cooking and meal preparation, medications and sometimes domestic duties such as light housework (hoovering & dusting), cleaning bathrooms, bedding changes etc.

Our carers work on "rounds" and we ensure there is travel time between each customer so our community care team do not have to rush.

This also enables them to have time to get food/drinks between care visits. Our rounds are a mixture of doubles and singles depending on our clients needs.

Our carers may also assist with sleep in or wake night visits where they spend the night at a customers home.

All of our community carers complete visit notes on their mobile phones via an app. This can be used offline so it does not impact on your usage or data. Our policies, training and annual leave is also all booked or completed online.

What we can offer you:

We can offer you additional training and support when you need or want it. We will provide you with a DBS and uniform which all paid for by the company.

We will provide you with unlimited, free, PPE which can be collected from our office. We will provide you with Gloves, Aprons, Masks, Shields and Hand Sanitiser.

We will pay you a generous mileage allowance, if you are a driver, from home to all your calls and back home again.

We will pay you enhanced mileage if you are on doubles and paired with a non driver.

We will pay double pay on all bank holidays and Christmas day, Boxing day and New Years Day at the weekday rate.

We will pay you for 5.6 weeks annual leave as it is accrued.
