Head of Account Management
A UK based administration software and solutions business located in St Albans with over 20 years' experience in protection, pensions and wealth management products is recruiting for a Head of Account Management.
The mission of the role is to secure and develop existing commercial relationships and therefore to increase revenue and seek opportunities to grow the business profitably by targeting product and service solutions to meet clients' needs.
To work with the Head of Operations and Head of IT to support the delivery of an excellent customer journey while adhering to their contractual obligations.
To support the CEO and Business Development with market knowledge and insight to support the prospecting of new business. To support the external branding activity as required.Principal Job Objectives
- Establish strong Client relationships to identify new/additional services that could offer to Clients. Work with the Business Development team to pursue opportunities.
- Manage the Client Account Team together with the Head of Operations ensuring adequate training on process and requirements is given and monitored on an ongoing basis.
- To produce regular activity Account reports and MI to the Board.
- Recommend improvements to products and services to enhance Client relationships and improve profit profile.
- Take responsibility forall feebased Change Requests to ensure they are fit for purpose with input from relevant business areas, profitable, approved by the Group CEO and Clients. To be responsible for obtaining a cost estimate, ensure a fee is profitable and then obtain agreement on fees from the Group CEO, then Client sponsor.
- Attend IT development steering groups to ensure appropriate priority is placed on clients' development requirements.
- Chase outstanding invoices for all clients as soon as they are outside the 30day payment terms. Escalate any issues to the CEO and Resources Director and keep informed until issues are resolved. Undertake regular and consistent communication with clients, documenting and communicating to relevant departments in a timely manner the details of planned visits, meetings and or conference calls.
- Ensure all parts of the business are aware of client developments to ensure the Head of Operations and other Managers have adequate resource and training in place for new initiatives.
- Implement and manage to completion, companywide improvement plans as directed by the Executive team.
- Act as ISO Risk owner for Client Relationships and Business Development
- Ensure all documents produced comply with the P3 Information Classification procedures.
- Escalate any ISO risk within the business to the CSO.
- Escalate to the Board any requests from clients that fall outside of the standard contractual obligations, Consumer Duty requirements or ISO27001 ISMS.
- Work closely with the CEO in any new or existing client contract work and to refer and get final sign off.
- Ensure all client formal correspondence including agreements and addendum to agreements are copied and held in the Suppliers Drive and originals posted to BIPS in Jersey for safekeeping.
Essential knowledge and experience
- Experience of Financial Services outsourcing, preferably in the Investment and/or Life Protection sectors. Ideally 5 years' experience in Financial Services.
- Minimum 2 years Account Management Experience managing a key client relationship.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience of managing others.
- Experience of reviewing legal documentation and negotiating services & fees.
- Strong communication skills.
- Knowledge of administration processes.
- Ability to work in a pressurised and fastmoving environment.
- Attention to detail and ability to achieve manage to tight deadlines.
- Ability to adapt to change with a flexible approach.
Additional Knowledge
- Understanding of fee structures and contracts for each Client including SLA's, MI.
- To have direct and regular communication with Client Sponsors at Senior level of all Clients.
- To read and understand the ISMS and policies therein.
- Understand their products and services.
- To maintain and learn new products and services prior to delivery.
- Have preliminary understanding of their product lifecycle, key personnel and milestone delivery timetables.
