POLITICO is looking for an imaginative storyteller tohelp lead its Westminster Insider podcast.

We provide non-partisan, distinctive journalism for political obsessives in Westminster and internationally.

Westminster Insider, which launched in January 2021, has quickly developed a high-engaged, influential audience which we are now looking to grow.

This host will research and present podcast episodes, taking listeners through a distinctive and carefully-crafted story each week.

The role would suit a feature writer or documentary storyteller with a strong sense of voice and a love of British politics.

What You'll Do

Generate distinctive and ambitious episode ideas, alongside other hosts and an editor
Research and write scripts
Books guests and conduct interviews
Voice each episode and assist the producer in the editing process (technical editing skill a plus but not required)
Feed into strategic discussions about how to grow the podcast and come up with ideas for engaging our audience

What You'll Need

Politics obsessive — demonstrable interest in Westminster politics and British political history, though not necessarily prior experience in the lobby
Demonstrable ability to generate distinctive ideas for episodes
Podcasting or broadcast experience preferable
Strong contacts in Westminster
Fluent, expressive speaker
