Our client an established engineering manufacturing organisation is seeking a Finance Analyst to join their team, to support with their new machine business.

Reporting to the Finance Manager you will take responsibility for large data sets, business partnering with stakeholders and helping drive business commercially.

You will analyse and manipulate large amounts of data to understand project performance, looking at actual vs budgeted costs.

The main responsibilities:

Support the Business, Finance & Global Business Service teams during monthly, quarterly, yearly close & reporting processes. Understanding key variances to budget, latest forecast and prior periods.
Provide detailed review of margins, ensuring accuracy of the accounts and developing strong business acumen to provide business insight.
Manage inventory, review reserves, troubleshoot issues, calculate finished goods inventory.
Review pricing and deals. Assist in deal margin optimization.
Monitor and report department spend and analyze variances vs Annual Plan and Forecasts.
Design innovative analytical and management reporting tools for decision making as well as share best practices.
Develop and report financial KPI ́s.
Assist in key strategic projects and drive process improvement and efficiencies
