Job Purpose

An opportunity for a Designer to forge a successful career in the automotive industry by joining the CMF team at Lotus Tech Creative Centre.

Support our team of designers with the production and presentation of project-based design proposals.

The role will develop your understanding of sustainable and recyclable materials, encourage new concept development and ultimately help to reduce our carbon footprint.

Duties and Responsibilities

Create and deliver complete design proposals according to design brief and project constraints in assigned programs.
Produce creative and detailed design solutions fulfilling complex technical criteria.
Develop concepts, which are translated into practical solutions in cooperation with external suppliers.
Prepare presentation material for reviews as well participate in design reviews.
Participate in project and engineering meetings.
Deliver sustainable and responsible material initiatives and methods of make.
Represent colour & material in project related forums.
Work closely with Project Leader, 3D designers, C&M Specialists, Studio Engineers and modelling team/trim shop.
Collaborate and maintain good relationship with other stakeholders i.e. product planning and marketing teams.

Skills and Expertise

Skilled in Adobe Create suite with the ability to visualise and communicate ideas effectively in 2D and 3D
Strong communicator with excellent presentation skills
Structured, methodical and analytical with good planning skills
Flexible and able to work under constrained time schedules and frequently revised circumstances
Strong interest in colour and material development.
Preferably some specific commercial experience across automotive/transportation design.
Additional software skills in VRED, Blender, Premiere, Cinema 4D and/or Keyshot is beneficial.
