Responsibilities:
You will be required to support the local project and engineering teams to ensure efficient and cost-effective procurement of products.

- Place orders, ensuring best price and obtain order acknowledgements to ensure accuracy of order and invoicing.
- Receive goods checking the delivery is accurate and inputting the details to SAP.
- Return goods to supplier when required and ensure a credit is received.
- Liaise with suppliers to correct any mistakes on purchase orders or faulty goods.
- Support PMs and Engineers with location of stock and work in partnership with them.
- Track stock that is delivered to site or a third party location.
- Keep PMs up to date with delivery dates and any delays.
- Ensure SAP is up to date and all processes are adhered to.
- Achieve purchasing objectives negotiating with suppliers.
- Allocate vendors for relevant need, find alternatives for various projects to fulfil the needs of the business.
- Perform RFP negotiations (price quotations, terms, quality, delivery dates)
- Build awareness of buying trends, market conditions, budgets, materials, policies suppliers and contracts and bid proposals.
- Organise disposal of packaging and used kit returned from clients in line with North's policies.
- Adhere to compliance requirements for Health and Safety, Environmental, Quality, Information Security and Data Protection relevant to your job, function and location.
Qualifications:
Skills & Experience
- 23 years of relevant working experience, in a similar project environment.
- Prepared to work towards certification in CIPS or MRICs
- Experience in procurement in IT and/or manged services and/or Fire & Security background desirable.
- An understanding of procurement systems and processes, experience of SAP is desirable.
- Experience of negotiating with suppliers.
- Analytical experience within spend categories.
- Experience, of stock receipt preferably in a similar technical environment.
- Technical experience or qualification in engineering would be an advantage
- Attention to detail.
- Team player with continuous improvement focus.
