Lovett Care is seeking a Senior Carer to join our amazing team at Rhiwlas Care Home.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Health and Social Care Professional to work in partnership with our team to deliver quality care for a diverse group of residents.


This position is for 36 hours per week, over 5 days at £11.40 per hour.

What is the purpose of a Senior Care Assistant?
To provide care in accordance with current best practices under the direction of the Manager.

To support and enable people who live in the home to maintain skills and personal interests whilst delivering person-centred care unique to each individual.

To maintain skills at a current level and undertake such training and development as may from time-to-time be required to maintain practices as up-to-day.


What does a typical day look like?

  • Ensure residents are at the heart of the care delivery and their wishes and preferences enhance their well being
  • Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of individuals you support
  • Develop effective working relationships with all team members
  • Assist in the support of new care team members to their job role
  • Maintain accurate documentation on pcs at the point of care delivery
  • Support residents to maintain a high standard of personal care, hygiene, and physical wellbeing
  • Ensure resident's aids and equipment are maintained
  • Respond immediately to any concerns that may pose a risk to health, safety and wellbeing of residents, visitors, or your team
  • Dispense medication following Lovett Care policies and procedures
  • Maintain the confidentiality of information

What skills do I need?

  • Team Player
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Good English written and verbal interpersonal communication skills

What qualifications and experience do I need?

  • RQF Diploma Level 3 Health and Social Care is preferred
  • Supervisory or management qualification, would be beneficial, but not essential
  • Experience of working in a care environment is required
