Senior Procurement Coordinator

Kent

£44,000 - £49,000 + bonus

Grafton UK are currently recruiting on behalf of a global, engineering company in the Kent area to source a commercially astute Senior Procurement Coordinator to define and implement procurement strategies at a European and Global level for COGS reductionsand efficiencies.

Responsibilities of the ideal Senior Procurement Coordinator:

Employ strategies to ensure business continuity
Support and influence supply negotiations to achieve best outcomes
Advance the understanding of the market trends and identify the factors that influence availability and pricing
Develop, implement and track supplier metrics to evaluate and analyse performance
Consult the team across the business to provide information regarding supply constraints, pricing initiatives and supplier performance
Demonstrate, lead and encourage best practice within the procurement process to achieve continuous improvement, complexity reduction and efficiencies
Identify and implement sustainability solutions within supply chain
Coordinate and develop the Direct Procurement team

**Ideal
Senior Procurement Coordinator:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Effective negotiation experience.
Analytical skills.
Organisational skills necessary.
At least 5 years in a purchasing environment.
Experience of running MRP's
Experience of sourcing
Degree in Engineering or Science
