Pallet Network - Transport Planner


Overview:


We are seeking a skilled and organised with experience of Pallet Networks as a Transport Planner to join our team.

As a Transport Planner, you will be responsible for coordinating the movement of pallets and ensuring efficient delivery schedules.

This role requires strong experience at working previously at a pallet network depot or hub with organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Responsibilities:


  • Plan and coordinate the transportation of pallets from origin depot to final destination
  • Manage delivery schedules and ensure timely arrivals
  • Collaborate with suppliers, carriers, depots and customers to optimise transport operations
  • Monitor volume levels and track shipments
  • Utilize transportation management systems to track and manage orders
  • Analyze data and generate reports on transportation performance
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements
  • Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and company policies
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly

Skills:


  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
  • Ability to drive results in a fastpaced environment
  • Proficiency in IT systems, including Microsoft Word and transportation management software
  • Knowledge of supply chain management principles
  • Familiarity with office procedures and equipment
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Leadership abilities to effectively manage teams and projects

Pay:
£30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
