Marketing Assistant

Our goal is to support conservation by providing the best available equipment, books, and ideas - the tools that our customers need to make the world a better place.

The Marketing Assistant will play an important part by helping to build and manage great marketing content to keep our customers informed about what's happening in the world of conservation.

This is a great opportunity for a well-organised individual with an interest in marketing and, ideally, an interest in nature conservation.

Responsibilities include:

Assisting with conference preparation, including booking conferences, liaising with conference organisers, and booking travel.
Booking magazine adverts and liaising with our design team.
Helping to organise the production of our printed catalogues, including getting quotes for printing and mailing.
Recording data on marketing campaigns to help us understand which strands of our marketing are the most successful.
Developing an understanding of our customer base and why they buy from us.
Helping manage other marketing platforms, including Google Merchant and our affiliate marketing programme.

Essential:

A good telephone manner and outstanding written communication skills
Attention to detail, selfmotivated, andthe ability to manage your own workload.
Good verbal and written English language skills.
Social media awareness
Above all, we value a commonsense approach, critical thinking, and a willingness to learn new skills.
Experience working successfully as part of a small team.

Desirable

Experience with Mailchimp and WordPress.
Knowledge of a major European language.
Basic design skills using Photoshop.

Salary:
£21,255 - £22,255 p.a. pro-rata depending on experience, based on a 37.5-hour week Monday - Friday, with the position attracting 28 days holiday p.a pro rata (includes Bank Holidays).
