HSSEQ Co-ordinator
Kings Lynn, UK

Permanent

£28-£35k (dependant on experience)


With their continuing expansion and development, our client, a leading and reputable agricultural manufacturing group, is looking for an HSSEQ Coordinator for its site in Kings Lynn.

The main objective of this role is to assist with coordination and administration of Quality, Health and Safety and Environmental Management Systems.


General Responsibilities:


  • Create and maintain effective relationships with teams, supervisors. managers and other workbased contacts
  • Ensure that your actions and the actions of other individuals do not compromise the legal requirements and safety standards
  • Perform your duties in accordance with the Company IMS and other departmental documentation, such as Work Instructions or Operating Procedures
  • Carry out any reasonable request from any member of the Management team within the general scope and purpose of the job
  • Conduct yourself in accordance with the policies set out in the Company Handbook
  • Perform activities within key operating targets (where appropriate) & reporting of related KPI's and statistics

Specific Duties

  • Ensure site compliance to the COMAH regulations
  • Ensure risk assessments are completed / maintained in line with a defined schedule or when changes are made to the process inside the workplace via the change management system.
  • Assisting in the implementation of new, and upkeep of existing certifications (such as ISO14001, 9001, 45001, FIAS etc.)
  • Assist in the development and writing of safe systems of work
  • Promote awareness of regulatory requirements throughout the site as required
  • Ensure all site relevant H&S procedures and policies are up to date and in line with current legislation and implemented
  • Provide Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental reports and data as required.
  • Complete monthly incident statistic reports and any other required documented records and report findings in relation to occupational safety
  • Assist with the goal of zero accidents by raising occupational safety awareness on site
  • Work with and support the operational teams in their work environment; by promoting and ensuring safe working practices and safe performance standards are met

Job Requirements:


However, you must:

  • Hold a full UK driving licence with flexibility to travel, on occasion, within reason
  • Have very strong IT skills and an interest in using different technologies to improve processes and experiences
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Be highly organised and have the ability to analyse, interpret and present data to identify key trends and opportunities

Also Desirable

  • A proven track record within a safety role is desirable however full training will be provided
  • Have previous experience in administrative work / SHEQ coordination
  • Working experience of current Health & Safety and Environmental practices in the workplace
  • Experience of presenting to a team
  • Experience & knowledge of working with HSSEQ management systems such as ISO9001, 14001 & 45001 & the requirements associated with health and safety in a working environment
  • Knowledge of compliance obligations such as REACH
  • Knowledge of Quality toolbox including FMEA, Root cause investigations, Lean and Six Sigma tools & techniques
  • Experience in conducting RCA's
  • Experience of providing safety training would be beneficial
The standard working hours are 40 hours per week, usually 08:30-17:00.
