Description

Are you a problem solver and enjoy working with a wide variety of people? Do you have the motivation to proactively manage your own area of Warwickshire's road network? Have you ever wondered how Historic Shakespeare's County road networks are managed - to patch or not to patch?

County Highway's Client Services Team is charged with the routine maintenance of the highway network in Warwickshire as well as dealing with all enquiries from the public and other stakeholders, licencing and legal enforcement of the Highways Act 1980, winter maintenance activities, Councillor delegated budget schemes and contributing to forward programmes of larger structural maintenance works.

Two exciting opportunities have arisen for the role of Highway Area Surveyor, to work in the highway maintenance arena.

Warwickshire is really proud of its Highways Team and their passion, commitment and all the hard work that goes into getting the highest possible rating for our highways service.

With continuing investment into Warwickshire's highway network, we aim to ensure that our roads and footpaths are fit for future generations and continue to score highly in national surveys.

The Highway Area Surveyor role is a fantastic opportunity for self-starters with experience in Highways and Traffic Management and knowledge of current legislation relating to Highways Act 1980.

You would also be responsible for determining many different programmes of highway maintenance work, managing demand from members of the Public, Elected Member and Parish Councils.

Managing Highway regulation and providing customer service, to ensure Warwickshire meets its obligations under the Highways Act and other relevant legislation.

If this is you, we would love to hear from you, to find out what you can offer to our service.
