Graduate Finance Associate (M&A)


Polar Recruitment are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading specialist in the corporate finance M&A sector for a Graduate Finance Associate (M&A) to join the team, supporting all aspects of the transactions lifecycle including origination, pitch support,financial analysis, and administration.


The Graduate Finance Associate (M&A) position would suit an enthusiastic recent Graduate, who is keen to develop a career within the Corporate Finance M&A sector, whilst also pursuing professional Accounting/Finance qualification.

Responsibilities
The Graduate Finance Associate (M&A) will support the business and transaction process, including;

  • Undertake training with more senior colleagues to quickly gain a good understanding of the business, market, and transaction processes.
  • Assist in the development of marketing materials, client presentations and proposals.
  • Conduct market and financial research on comparable companies, transactions, and potential acquirers
  • Conduct financial analysis, review financial forecasts, and support the preparation of company valuation analysis.
  • Attend and contribute at client meetings.
  • Updating internal databases with accurate and timely information.

Skills & Experience

  • Degree in a relevant discipline
  • Currently studying, or prepared to study towards a relevant accounting or corporate finance qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CFA etc.)
  • Keen to learn and develop a career within Corporate Finance M&A.
  • Commercial awareness of market conditions/developments
  • Strong financial analysis skills


  • High computer literacy

  • Word, Excel & PowerPoint
  • Comfortable working in a fastpaced environment with tight deadlines
  • Positive team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Driving Licence and transport beneficial
