The role:


Working alongside our team in UX and design, you will take the lead in authoring and overseeing the correct completion of user stories and acceptance criteria, operating as a key interface / point of clarification for the design, development, and test teams as the solution is technically planned and delivered.


You will also work with team members to support all aspects of product design, acceptance and hand off to support and client teams, exhibiting a highly detailed and solutions-orientated mindset.


What you'll do:


  • Work with our Strategy Director on projects to identify features and deliverables required in the product. Help in determining scope, cost / value metrics to inform prioritisation and dependencies to inform planning and roadmaps.
  • Work with our Strategy Director to manage the project and solution delivery, and cost plan, iterating improvements and continuous value delivery via market analysis and stakeholder engagement/feedback.
  • Facilitate the gathering and documenting of business and stakeholder requirements
  • Understand and clearly document business problems, requirements, operation procedures, and workflows.
  • Understand and catalogue (alongside the UX team) the personas that represent the user and stakeholder base.
  • Where appropriate, create planning outputs and low fi prototypes to illustrate functionality.
  • Help define scope of work, user stories and support day to day design and development queries.
  • Communicate required solution / functionality to designers, developers and testers and accept feedback as to feasibility and alternative approaches and facilitate planning of the work required to implement.
  • Liaise with project managers to signoff items for delivery and review estimates against agreed plans.
  • Respond to daytoday queries on specification, clarifying with peers and project management / clients as needed to provide answers.
  • Attend sprint ceremonies, and regularly review products and solutions during development and at completion to ensure they meet the acceptance criteria and within the agreed timescales.
  • Oversee QA planning and processes and sign off product is suitable for release
  • Where required demonstrate completed features to clients and the wider business. Obtain feature acceptance and support transition to operation.
  • Oversee planning and solution documentation / training material to support client delivery, working with documentation, training and support specialists as required to fulfil tasks.
  • Elicit feedback and collate requests and ideas for revision/change and further feature development and quantifying and prioritising these with project management.
  • Logging, monitoring, and minimising the commercial and product quality impact of change requests

Your skills and experience:


  • Experience of design thinking methodologies, specifically Discovery & Ideation
  • Experience of defining and prioritising the requirements of brandnew products and technologies in a complex and rapidly changing environment
  • Expertise in crafting precise, meaningful, and measurable user stories
  • Great client facing skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships.
  • Great organisational skills with the ability to thrive in a demanding environment whilst juggling multiple priorities.
  • Experience working using agile methodologies
  • Experience managing digital product life cycles end to end
  • Experience working with and developing consumerfacing digital technologies, such as websites, voice skills and apps
  • Technical fluency; comfortable understanding and discussing technology concepts, experience evaluating tradeoffs and new opportunities.
  • Someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and will contribute to ongoing organisational improvements
