SENDAT (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Academies Trust) is a Multi-Academy Trust focused on specialist provision in the eastern region.
SENDAT supports a range of needs including Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
Duke of Lancaster opened as a free school in January 2022., and educates and cares for young people, aged between 15 and 16, with Communication and Interaction needs, including ASD.
Duke of Lancaster's vision is to develop well-rounded individuals, prepared for a future in a work and contributing to society as a productive citizen.

THE POST - SENDAT LEADERSHIP:
All members of SENDAT Leadership Teams are responsible personally and collectively for supporting students in becoming confident individuals, success learners and responsible citizens by:

- Nurturing students to become wellrounded individuals who can go forward into their adult lives prepared for the work environment and capable of being independent and productive citizens;

- Contributing to the wider range of opportunities offered by and for the school community;
- Assuming responsibility (as required) for the learning progress of a specific group of students;
- Promoting the highest possible outcomes for a cohort of students.
THE POST - JOB PURPOSE:
- To provide inspirational and visionary leadership and to be responsible for effective daytoday operational management of the school;
- To ensure that the Trust's aims and objectives for the school are implemented in accordance with SENDAT/the school policies and relevant national and local education strategies;
- To continue to develop the outstanding educational provision and to create a secure and stable environment, so that students may achieve the best possible learning outcomes and fulfil their potential;
- To deliver and sustain educational excellence in the quality of education throughout the school and more widely as part of the SENDAT Senior Leadership Team, through a range of effective leadership strategies;
- To take responsibility as Senior Manager in charge and SENDAT representative onsite for daytoday operation of the school.
- To work closely with the Executive Headteacher to implement and monitor the strategic vision and associated business plan for the school.
