We are looking for someone to work part-time in our Shop / Reception at Castle Craig Hospital located near the villages of Blyth Bridge, West Linton and Peebles in the Scottish Borders.


The shop is located on the grounds of Castle Craig and serves the community of around 75 residents as well as staff.

The shop sells a variety of snacks, drinks, books and other merchandise. We use an electronic til to process payments. There are two opening slots for the shop during weekdays and one at weekends.


As well as working within the shop, you will be the first point of call for new residents, visitors and deliveries.

A variety of admin tasks need to be covered outside shop opening hours.

The role will require one day a week as well as holiday cover when required.


Key Responsibilities

  • Reception duties greeting new admissions, family members, etc.
  • Receipt of deliveries both for the shop and for staff/patients.
  • Assisting with the running of the Recovery Shop sales, taking payments via the till, etc.
  • Finance Admin assistance petty cash, balancing of cash, liaising with the finance team.
  • Capturing administration of lodge bookings.
  • Liaison with Housekeeping to ensure lodge bookings are catered for.
  • Handling post items.
  • Posting of sales and new stock to the shop's electronics till system.

Schedule:


  • 8:30 am 4:30 pm working day
