An exciting opportunity has now arisen and we are in the position to recruit a Housekeeper to work within our older adult ward, Beech ward, at Rochford Hospital.


A commitment to our patients, taking into account the needs of families and carer's, whilst working under the direction of senior staff and be prepared to become part of established multidisciplinary team.


Support clinical staff by addressing the non-clinical needs of the patients in achieving an excellent level of customer service, by ensuring that the patient environment is welcoming, clean, comfortable, and safe.


We are looking for people who can bring commitment, fresh ideas, and determination to take forward our service in new and innovative ways.

In return we offer Training and development of staff, support through regular Supervision and Appraisal, assisting you in setting realistic objectives.

What is Staff Bank?


Our EPUT NHS staff bank is an entity managed by the trust that hires clinical and non-clinical healthcare professionals to take on shifts at our trust hospitals and community settings.

Here at EPUT we maintain our own bank of specialist staff to ensure that we are able offer safe and effective care at all times.


All our permanent staff are automatically enrolled onto the staff bank however this does not mean you have to work any additional shifts, but the option is there for you if you wish.


If you are joining our Trust in a fixed term role, please indicate on your New Starter Paperwork that you wish to join our staff bank.


Supporting the Ward Manager, the Deputy Ward Manager and staff in maintaining the ward environment, liaise closely with the Facilities Service Manager and the Estates Help Desk, ensuring that all issues pertaining to the patients' environment and needs are dealt with efficiently.

To work with the domestic staff allocated to the ward to ensure that there is a high standard of cleanliness.

Bring to the attention of nursing staff any shortfalls in cleanliness of ward equipment.

An awareness of all infection control issues

Responsible for keeping the ward tidy by encouraging both staff and patients to be aware of the standards expected.
