Acclaim (UK) work on behalf of a market-leading Credit Hire Organisation and are recruiting for a Hire Monitoring Claims Handler.

An opportunity is available in our live hire monitoring team which involves the comprehensive handling of claims during the 'live hire' stages whilst clients are provided a replacement hire vehicle on credit following a non-fault RTA.


Day-to-day duties include liaising with at-fault insurers and repairing garages to ensure clients' vehicle damages are being promptly dealt with and providing subsequent updates to clients.

You will take ownership of your own caseload and clients, but will also be expected to provide support on claims across the team as you deal with queries from a range of customers on incoming calls.

Excellent phone manner and customer service skills are essential as the role focuses on ensuring our customers are provided with excellent end-to-end service.


What you need to work for us:

  • Experience working in credit hire, insurance or automotive industries
  • Experience in dealing with RTA claims
  • A good level of knowledge of vehicles
  • Excellent telephone manner and customer service skills
  • Great communication skills, both written and verbal
  • The ability to multitask, prioritise and work effectively to deadlines
  • A can do attitude and flexibility to assist other areas of the business as required
  • The ability to make fast, informed decisions
  • The ability to make effective relationships with colleagues
  • A working knowledge of Word/ Excel/Outlook and basic IT skills

Desirable skills:


  • Previous experience as a claims handler within the motor industry
