- **Within this exciting opportunity as a Commercial Director (Maternity Cover), the overall mission will be to work with businesses and leaders across the UK, to drive cultural change and help support leadership development across organisations.

The core focus will be on steering cultural change to eradicate stereotypical thinking and behaviours, as well as to engender wellbeing.

The Commercial Director is a key position to the success of this mission, holding strategic oversight and operational accountability for our customer's commercial activity.

Your work will focus on embedding the commercial growth strategy, ensuring commercialgoals are delivered, growing income and developing new products, as well as identifying and growing the capability required to ensure the long-term sustainability of the organisation.

We're seeking an influential and diligent leader, with experience of strategic planning, stakeholder management, developing commercial relationships and overseeing operational delivery to meet agreed targets, budgets and client expectations.

*control, direct and manage an ambitious commercial strategy and commercial development for the charity.
*defining and implementing a clear commercial strategy and a robust commercial plan, to shape and deliver the agreed annual budgets.
*reporting to the Board of Trustees on the progress and continued development of the commercial strategy and plan.
*setting the annual budgets and targets, then reporting on these continuously to the Board and Senior Leadership Team, as well as maintaining pipeline forecasting reports.
*develop and implement new income streams, aligned to the commercial strategy.
*effectively lead and develop the commercial team, to ensure they deliver agreed budgets and meet client expectations.
*representing the organisation in negotiations with key strategic customers; establishing and maintaining effective formal and informal links with customers, relevant key decision makers and other stakeholders.
*be the primary point of contact for all commercial related activities.
*work with communications and marketing to create the commercial narrative for internal and external audiences.
*be an active participant of the Senior Leadership Team.
We anticipate that the successful Commercial Director will have strong experience within the following areas:
*a proven track record of success in a Senior Level General or Commercial Management role.
*hold demonstrable experience of developing and implementing commercial best practices, that maximize profitable revenue and deliver attractive margins.
*be commercially astute, articulate, technically strong, dynamic, insightful and an influential leader, with the ability to operate at both a strategic and an operational level.
*be able to prepare plans, budgets and progress reports. Develop goals, objectives and priorities and assign those to the team.
*a relevant degree, professional qualification or commensurate commercial experience.
*ability to collaborate, build relationships and influence internal stakeholders.
*have a passion for driving commerciality through the organisation, to continue the cultural shift to a more self-funded charity model.
*understand the relationship between and implications of, the development of a commercial trading arm within a charity.
Whilst not necessary for the success of the role, the following could prove beneficial to our customer:
*have a network of senior contacts within the private and public sector in Wales.
*the ability to communicate in Welsh would be an advantage.

£50,000-52,000 per annum (pro rata), plus excellent benefits package
