It's a great opportunity for a Maintenance Fitter to work in the Essex Team

  • We'll keep you local, around the Rayleigh area for this role you will need to live 30 mins from site.

You'll generally be working in a team of 2 to 10 people and be involved with maintenance, refurbishment or replacement work on the UK Transmission System substations.

This could be from single asset replacements such as circuit breakers and transformers to maintaining/repairing aging high speed on load tap changers or complex 400kV circuit breakers.

We also work on all kinds of ancillary equipment, DC battery systems, air compressors, diesels etc.


What you'll need:


  • A minimum requirement for the role is a Level 3 Apprenticeship in an Engineering Field.
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Can use a computer


  • Substation experienced

  • Desirable


  • IOSH

  • Desirable

Pay and benefits:


  • A competitive salary from £31,654 to £35,378 per annum + Benefits Package.
  • Seasonal working allowance £1,555 per annum.
  • 25 days annual leave (increasing to 26) plus eight statutory days
  • The option to buy additional or sell holiday days.
