The medicine division is looking for a dynamic individual to join the team and provide support to the Patient Flow in the Medicine Division.

The post is based at The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital (RSH) but may require cross site working at The Princess Royal Hospital, Telford (PRH).

The role will vary from day to day and would suit someone looking for a challenge and join a friendly and supportive team.


The key role is to be responsible for ensuring the availability of beds for Medical patients on their journey from the Emergency Department into the main bed base of the hospital.

Supporting Clinical Site Manager, assisting the flow from ED for Medical patients and ensuring that local and national targets are achieved and delivery of an efficient and effective service that ultimately puts the patient at the centre of everything we do.


The post holder will work autonomously, but with support and liaison with the Patient Flow team, operational managers, and the clinical site team.

The post holder will ensure the timely action and communication of any issues or escalations for the Medical division.
