DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor IFEU's and NDEX's compliance with MiFIR transaction reporting and order retention; liaise with Members on relevant reporting or data issues
- Assist Members in their accurate reporting of commodity derivative positions to IFEU and NDEX and the onward reporting to the FCA and AFM
- Monitor the Exchanges' weekly Commitment of Trader reports
- Communicate with Member firms regarding potential issues or general enquiries
- Manage investigations on potential breaches of IFEU/NDEX rules
- Monitor processes and controls through the production of Management Information
- Identify new methods to enhance and streamline processes, increasing efficiency and accuracy of tasks; work with IT to improve the systems where required
- Maintain framework and procedure documentation, ensuring they are accurate and up to date
- Liaise and engage with regulators on matters relating to the Exchange's regulatory reporting framework, and other matters where required
- Represent the department as required to senior management, Board committees or industry groups
- Support colleagues and direct reports in their development, ensuring they receive sufficient training and assistance to carry out their roles and responsibilities
- Stay abreast of regulatory and compliance developments
- Identify risk and compliance impacts to the Exchange for new product launches, technology releases and market practices
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
- Educated to degree level or equivalent.
- Experience working within financial markets. Strong understanding of commodity and financial derivatives
- Strong knowledge of MiFID II regulatory reporting requirements and an understanding of IFEU Rules and its obligations as a Recognised Investment Exchange
- Ability to delegate to and motivate a team; previous experience managing staff preferable
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficient at identifying problems and working efficiently to resolve
- Strong drive to continually improve and develop working practices and industry knowledge
- Proactive in initiating or delegating project work to improve department processes
- Strong IT literacy skills
