_Are you a reliable and detail orientated Handy Person/Maintenance Assistant, who is looking for a new diverse and varied role? _
Then we have the role for you_Our maintenance team is growing and we are recruiting for an additional team member

Within this role you will be required to ensure that all facilities are kept in perfect condition by undertaking maintenance various tasks.

This role is worked across 5 days a week with possible over time and will also include some, weekend working where necessary.

About Us

Set within the beautiful backdrop of the Surrey countryside, Ladywell Convent is the motherhouse of the Catholic Religious Order - the Franciscan Missionaries of the Divine Motherhood (FMDM).

Here at Ladywell we offer support to the sisters who reside within Ladywell and the other FMDM sisters across the world.

Ladywell is also home to newly refurbished Franciscan Centre, which is open to the public and hosts activities, workshops, retreats and talks reflecting Franciscan spirituality.

About The Role
As part of your day to day duties you'll undertake the below tasks, plus any additional tasks, as and when required:

Monitor contractors and be a communication link for contractors with your line manager
Driving duties and assist with vehicle and equipment breakdowns
Painting/decorating and changing of light bulbs
Storing and lifting of equipment and deliveries
Undertake light installation or carpentry (e.g. build cabinets, flat packs)
Repair equipment or appliances, while Identify and report the need for major repairs
Undertake duties as assigned or emergency tasks (e.g. shovelling snow)
Clear gutters, doorways, and external drains from garden debris
Assist with fire system testing and evacuation while ensuring to report to your line manager security concerns.

About You

To succeed in this role you will need to have excellent communication skills and previous experience in a similar role.

You'll be hands-on, have have high technical knowledge and be well-organised with strong general repair skills.

You'll have a keen eye for detail, with good physical stamina to ensure that the maintenance of the fabric, furniture and equipment of Ladywell are all in good working order.

Salary:
Up to £24,500 per annum, dependant on skills and experience
