An exciting opportunity has arisen for someone to kickstart their career in Finance to join our team as a Trainee Management Accountant.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Trainee Management Accountant is responsible for assisting with the preparation of month end management accounts and costing analysis.


Key responsibilities:


  • Preparation of month end subsidiary accounts
  • Month end reporting including overhead analysis
  • Cashflow forecasting
  • Prepayments, Accruals and Fixed Assets
  • Intercompany reconciliation
  • Bank reconciliation
  • Balance sheet reconciliation and review point resolution
  • Audit preparation and yearend related tasks
  • Stakeholder management
  • HMRC compliance

Knowledge, training and experience required:


  • Role specific knowledge and experience/transition from a trainee accountant position
  • Construction industry and CIS Tax knowledge (desirable)
  • Computer literacy including competence with Microsoft Office products
  • AAT qualified or University Finance or Business Degree
