Description
We are looking for a Risk and Compliance Officer, to join one of our prestigious clients in the York area on a permanent basis.
You will conduct compliance and risk assessments, internal reviews and audits, evaluating current programmes and policies in place and providing guidance to all employee throughout the firm.
Key accountabilities:
- Conducting compliance risk assessment training workshops
- Conducting internal reviews and audits
- Advising internal management/Heads Of on the implementation of compliance programs
- Developing risk management strategies
- Following up on compliance issues that require investigation
- Evaluating compliance systems and ensuring adequate software is in place
- Reporting on compliance
- Overseeing and HoD for our Onboarding Team small Admin team responsible for AML checks and initial documentation for clients.
- Law Degree
- Experience working in law and compliance
- Microsoft Office Products
- An analytical mind
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Excellent organisation and ability to prioritise
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and wri00tten
- Selfmotivation: energy; positivity; cando attitude
- Confidentiality and discretion
- Proactive; willing to use initiative
- Able to work well independently as well as part of a team
