We are looking for a Risk and Compliance Officer, to join one of our prestigious clients in the York area on a permanent basis.


You will conduct compliance and risk assessments, internal reviews and audits, evaluating current programmes and policies in place and providing guidance to all employee throughout the firm.

This role is easily commutable from Leeds, York, Harrogate, Selby, Thirsk, Malton and the surrounding areas. Offering a very competitive package including salary and perks, hybrid working.


Key accountabilities:

  • Conducting compliance risk assessment training workshops
  • Conducting internal reviews and audits
  • Advising internal management/Heads Of on the implementation of compliance programs
- ensure all employees are thoroughly updated about the firm's policies, regulations, and processes

  • Developing risk management strategies
  • Following up on compliance issues that require investigation
  • Evaluating compliance systems and ensuring adequate software is in place
  • Reporting on compliance
  • Overseeing and HoD for our Onboarding Team small Admin team responsible for AML checks and initial documentation for clients.
  • Law Degree
  • Experience working in law and compliance
  • Microsoft Office Products
  • An analytical mind
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Excellent organisation and ability to prioritise
