Delivery Manager/Lean Practitioner - Fully Remote

You will be able to develop your capability and skill sets by being involved in critical work for the delivery of Programmefor Government commitments to create a new system of farm support that will maximise the protective power of nature through farming.


Duties and responsibilities

  • Undertake a Time and Motion study of the contract approvals under the Glastir Woodland Creation Scheme.
  • Undertake a Lean Review of the new Woodland Creation Scheme, end to end process.
  • Support the business in improving and sustaining operational efficiency using lean techniques
  • Complete process and value stream mapping to identify inefficiencies
  • Clarify, analyse, and quantify the areas for improvement to streamline existing processes across the various stakeholders.
  • Communicate progress at all levels within the business and educate in lean methodologies
  • Lead the strategy of developing or removing existing process tools and procedures to meet the longterm objectives.
  • Identify any bottlenecks and inefficiencies in the process, as part of RPW's future developments for woodland creation under the Sustainable Farming Scheme.

Skills and experience required

  • Significant experience of Lean practices.
  • Able to identify and compare the best processes or delivery methods to use and recognise when something does not work and encourages a mindset of experimentation.
  • Can adapt and reflect, is resilient and can see outside of the process.
  • Able to use a blended approach depending on the context whilst measuring and evaluating outcomes.
  • Maintaining delivery momentum, able to optimise the delivery flow of teams, identify innovative ways to unblock issues.
  • Can actively address the most complicated risks, issues and dependencies including where ownership exists outside the team or no clear ownership exists.
  • Communicating between technical and nontechnical audience, using strong communication skills and own technical knowledge and understanding, able to manage stakeholders' expectations and facilitate discussions across high risk and complexity or under constrainedtimescales, communicating with stakeholders at all levels whether technical or nontechnical.

What you will get in return
This is a full-time, fully remote, 12-week temporary assignment starting in April. The role falls inside IR35, paying 475/day Umbrella LTD.
