A forward-thinking and successful business is looking for a creative, self-motivated and experienced Senior Design Engineer to join the team in Whitchurch.
Along with a salary of up to £48,000 per annum, you will also receive a company pension, a profitrelated bonus, monthly time and attendance lottery, free onsite parking and an early finish on a Friday.
As the Senior Design Engineer your responsibilities will include:
- Working with production departments to ensure that all designs are suitable and to supply all information necessary to deliver the final project
- Creating and maintaining initial product BOMs and agreeing and delivering detail designs to schedule
- Regular reporting of the project status, highlighting all risks to the project and ensuring that projects are delivered on time
- Creating and maintaining all necessary drawings and other documentation related to the project(s).
- Creating proven engineering designs
- Carrying out DFMA on a routine basis
- Validating by prototyping and testing
- Creating regular status reports
We are looking for a Senior Design Engineer who has the following skills and experiences:
- A minimum of HNC/HND level engineering qualification
- Experience in 3D CAD is mandatory requirement.
- Demonstrable aptitude to IT
- Ability to work on own initiative, to be selfmotivated to achieve.
- Understanding of statutory procedures.
- Working with computerised 3D drawing package of which Solidworks will be preferred.
- Understanding of Engineering and general principles of Engineering is essential.
