Do you have experience managing corporate events? Are you looking to expand your horizons into the academic sector with a long-term temporary assignment? Signature Recruitment is currently seeking an Events Officer for our client, a leading London university.

This temporary, full-time position offers a hybrid working structure, requiring two days in the office. This role has an immediate start and will run for 9 months.


In this diverse role as Events Officer, you will be at the forefront of managing a wide array of events, from seminars and workshops to lectures and conferences.

You'll collaborate closely with the university's Business School team to execute large corporate events and dinners, focusing on logistics, venue bookings, catering, and AV arrangements.

Your responsibility will encompass providing top-notch customer service, expertly managing event projects, and ensuring meticulous attention to detail in all paperwork and documentation.


Events Officer Key Responsibilities:


  • Coordinate highprofile events, launch events, and longterm planning for prebooked events.
  • Lead project management for large corporatestyle events, ensuring seamless execution.
  • Engage with internal stakeholders, including catering and AV teams, and university departments, for event logistics.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact, efficiently managing event turnaround.
  • Update documentation regularly and plan logistics, including coordination with the communications team for event recording and videos.
  • Contribute to the branding of the university website and maintain consistent communication with academic leads.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships, both internal and external, to ensure event success.

Events Officer Key Skills:


  • Demonstrable experience in managing corporate events, with an understanding of conference dynamics.
  • Proactive selfstarter, capable of independently leading projects to completion.
  • Confident in workload management and able to maintain high levels of performance under pressure.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring all aspects of event planning and execution are flawless.

Job Types:
Full-time, Temporary contract

Contract length: 9 months


Salary:
£18.00 per hour
