Are you currently studying at university in Newcastle and looking for a flexible job? Why not register with protocol Education.

Cover supervisors oversea the classroom during the absence of the teacher.

They are not expected to plan lessons, cover supervisors are required to ensure the pre-set work is completed by the students.


If you wish to pursue a career within education in the future, this role will look excellent on your CV.

Future employers will find it favourable if you have experience working within schools and have interacted with students previously.


You do not have to come from an educational background, we accept people with transferable skill which have been gained through studies, employment, or volunteering.


Responsibilities:


  • Overseeing the classroom in the absence of the usual teacher.
  • Deliver preset work to the class.
  • Interact with teachers and students.
  • Manage behaviour in the classroom.
  • Support students learning.
  • Create a positive and productive learning environment.

Requirements:


  • The right to work in the UK.
  • Has or is willing to obtain an enhanced DBS.
  • Is a confident and approachable person.
  • Is willing to work flexibly on a daytoday bases.
  • Has good verbal and nonverbal communication skills.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
