We are recruiting on behalf of our client who is looking for an experienced
Administration Lead to work in a fast-paced environment within the Children's Social Work Service, you will be responsible for the line management of a team of Business Support colleagues and for ensuring that the work of the team is appropriately supported.

You will also contribute to the development and operation of systems and processes, in particular, how we organise and manage our key multi-agency meetings.

You will oversee workload allocation, ensure compliance with deadlines and confidentiality expectations, and support as required.

An important part of the role is to be able to engage effectively with colleagues within and outside the service - responding to queries and referrals effectively.

You will also need to have good negotiation skills and will need to respond to challenging situations.

You will be expected to be in the office full time for the first few weeks of training and then it may be possible to work 2 days a week at home on a rota basis.

3 month position with a view to extend if the service continues to be busy.


Role


To lead a team in the absence of their Business Support Lead including a team of Band C workers (business support officers) ensuring that systems are in place and work is undertaken in a timely way.

To lead on the processes across business support and support the business manager as and when necessary.


You will have:


  • Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in Business Administration or the ability to demonstrate through extended experience the knowledge to carry out the full range of duties
  • Experience of managing or supervising a team
  • Significant experience of working within administration
  • A passion for delivering high quality customer service
The post is based at our modern offices in Chelmsley Wood.

As part of our wider Smarter Ways of Working strategy, it is anticipated that this role would undertaken on a hybrid basis, with a combination of home and office-based working, to meet business needs.


Job Types:
Full-time, Temporary contract

Contract length: 3 months


Salary:
£14.71-£17.06 per hour

Education:


  • GCSE or equivalent (preferred)

Experience:


  • Administrative experience: 2 years (required)
- supervisory/team leading: 1 year (required)
