About the role:


As the Connections, Revenue and Payments Assistant you'll be responsible for making payments to our Infrastructure Alliance Partners for the delivery of new connections, agreeing on refunds to customers for changes in the value of work completed and providing invoicing support for waste infrastructure charges and debt recovery procedures.


What you will be doing


We have
an exciting opportunity to join our Developer Services Capital Program team in Reading as a Connections Revenue and Payments Assistant.
This is a hybrid-based role
where
you will respond to internal and external customer requests for information, advice and guidance on technical matters and service delivery.


  • Attend meetings with our customers to rectify any issues and act as a liaison between different Thames departments to ensure great customer service
  • Responsible for making payments to our Infrastructure Alliance Partners for the delivery of new connections
  • Provide invoicing support for waste infrastructure charges and debt recovery procedures
  • Liaise with customers to agree on refunds for changes in the value of work completed
  • Provide excellent service to our customers and external contractors. Working towards an improved customer satisfaction score, reduced complaints and improved performance quality
  • Demonstrate our values through behaviours and creating an inclusive and positive environment that drives performance, engagement and development

We're looking for you to:


  • Knowledge of any of the following would be desirable: CRM, Health and Safety requirements, Traffic Management, Water regulations, Water networks
  • Take Ownership of customer queries, being curious to fully understand the query and identify the best solution to resolve it the first time
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, to clearly interact with our customers
  • Deliver exceptional customer service through an enthusiastic and positive approach, taking accountability for your role while working accurately and flexibly

This is a permanent position offering a salary from £22,000 to £25,000 per annum and the package includes an excellent contributory pension and 24 days of holiday per year increasing to 28 with the length of service.

As part of your role, you'll be required to participate in a rota to provide Customer Incident Support, as requested by the Company from time to time.

This may be by supporting our customers on the frontline as an Ambassador or being part of the team managing the incident as a Control Tower Lead.
