Job Title:
Bill of Materials Co-Ordinator


Job Purpose:
To co-ordinate the operational process control of the company Bills of Materials.

A bill of materials will provide the organisation with the complete recipe for building the finished products through production and sold to the customer.

The role will be responsible for the writing and maintenance of Bills of Materials (BOMS) for all products within an X3 Sage environment ensuring the correct commercial, technical, and financial information is structured for all products.


Reports to:
TBC.


Key Links:

Head of Business Units, Finance Manager, production manager, sales office manager, customer Operations Manager and commercial sales order process team leaders.


Responsibilities:


  • Co-Ordinate BOMS for all products via X3 System (Sage).
  • Initially to review products, sub raw material products used within the build '_Recipe' _and production routings to ensure correct data is applied to the Bill of Material for initial product structures for new X3 system.
  • To create processes to identify new raw material '_Master Data_' ensure initial standard costs and routing structures working with materials planners, procurement team, sales and finance.
  • Co-Ordinate and maintain all company Bills of Material.
  • Co-Ordinate with the finance manager the internal reporting of price variance to system standard cost.
  • Coordinate the bills of material and optimisation for commercial decisions e.g., outsourcing
  • Assist in sales order estimating process as required and customer sales cost reviews based on data compiled from Bills of Material.
  • Assist in sales order administration as required and the inputting of data to Sage X3 system.

Job Skill/Knowledge Requirements

  • Bill of materials administration and coordination.
- knowledge of Sage X3 system or similar operating ERP system

  • IT literacy ability to prepare reports.
  • People management skills.
  • Financial awareness of standard costing / price variance
  • Oral & written communication.
  • Analytical skills.
  • Tactful & diplomatic demeanour.
  • Dealing with problem solving in a pressured situation.

Salary:
£26,000.00-£29,000.00 per year
